Low-risk activities

Teachers sometimes can not imagine how important the activities are for our learning. In classes students are unmotivated and wanting to be in somewhere else or waiting for the end of the class.
These happen because most of the time teachers are guided by guidelines and do activities that aren´t close to our lives
. So students don´t feel a conexion with the class and they prefer to talk with their friends, sleep, be outside or do something not related with the activities, because for them English or any subject don´t have any sense.

I believe that games can help to motivate students, because teachers need to try new ways of teaching. We need that students participate in activities, and for this schools and teachers must stop using old methods that don´t help us in anything to improve the education.

If this situation doesn´t change the education could never improve. Students in the future will be working in something not related with what they want, because never someone or something shows or says him/her that they were good and intelligent.
It is very important being always there for the students and constantly motivating them.

Education

It is exciting to listen to Dave Eggers, who proposes clear, attainable ideas to improve education.
He says that we must go to a public school and offer our help because students need a personalized help. Education will be better if each student could have one tutor or teacher, with whom they could report it and ask for help when they need it. I say this because most of the time parents don´t have enough time to help them or don´t know how to support them with their homeworks.

It is important how Dave takes the personalized education as a priority because every child has different concerns and worries. Moreover they need a suitable space to study and to concentrate, because at home they are watching tv or doing their homework without giving them importance.

It would be excellent if in the schools the number of students in each classroom decrease , because children need attention, and in their classroom these days they don´t have it. Besides if we want motivated and active students, the best alternative is that the teachers have to communicate with their students and let them know that they are important and intelligent.

Finally, here in Chile, we must incorporate these practices, because those are for the benefit of the school community and of the students.

Regards.

News: criminal gangs in Latin America

This news show us how criminal gangs are out of control.
In Venezuela kidnapping is a popular way to earn money these days, because gangs force their families to sell homes and properties for their rasmon. It is horrible see the statistics, because now more than one person a day is kidnapped, also the real figure could be four times higher, because more of the kidnappings go unreported.

I don´t know how they can act like that, because for them it doesn´t matter if you are a child, a woman, an elder, a baby, or if you are poor, or rich. They know that everybody even poor people can drum up thousands of dollars just for pay the rasmon.
These types of gangs exist in almost all Latin America, like Honduras and Colombia. This last one, is very popular for the guerrillas and paramilitary groups.

I think that the goverment is very flexible with the law, and that´s why kidnappings are increasing these days.
The criminals know that their attitude willn´t be punished, because exsist corrupt policemen.
The courts have to be strict and need to create new laws, also need to supervise the fulfillment of the laws and every policemen. I understand that this could be difficult,
but if we want that this stops, and the people pay for their crimines, we must cooperate. The goverment needs to increase the security in the streets

I hope that this horrible big problem that concerns us as society, could change soon and not more kidappings, because all of us deserve to live with our families and friends and decide our future.

Take care.
